The reason is that Avast! Antivirus evaluates that those Windows XP and Vista are no longer have many users like in the past. Most of the users now are changing their direction to Windows 7 or Windows 10. Because of that, Avast! Antivirus decides to focus on launching their updates on Windows 7 and Windows 10.

Although Avast! is no longer launching the updates for Windows XP and Vista, it does not mean that the user cannot use Avast! on their computer. The user will still be able to use Avast! but they will not receive any new updates from Avast!. Of course, it is highly recommended to change the operating system as soon as possible so that the devices will be free from viruses.
