How to Use Google Slides

How to use Google Slides? As for the computer, you just need to open Slides App and you can see the “+” icon in the top left. Click that and it will lead you to a new presentation. Click “Insert” to add texts, images, lines, or shapes. You can move it where ever you want. Choose “New Slide” in the top left if you want to add a new slide. Click “Insert” and then “Animation” to add animations. Add slide transition by clicking “Slide” and then change transitions. If you want to share the file, then you can share it with the specific person by adding their email. If your friends don’t use a Google account, then they can only read the file and cannot change anything. In the comment section, your friends can make a suggestion. In the edit section, they can change, reject or accept suggestions, and also share the files to another friend.

How to Use VirtualBox to Install Different OS/Software in One Computer

Have you ever heard about VirtualBox? It is software that allows you to create virtual space/machine inside your computer. Inside this virtual machine, you can do many things, including installing different OS or software. That way, you can lower the risk of error, when you install two OS in one computer. Now, how to use this unique software?

Download and Install

First of all, download VirtualBox from its official website. Once you get the installer file, run this file to start the installation process. It would be better if you choose a different hard drive or partition to install this program. That way, you can create a virtual machine easier with enough space to use.

Creating the Virtual Machine

Once the installation process is finished, open the program. On the main page, open “File”, and choose “Setting”. Adjust the folder or hard drive where you want to create the virtual machine. As we said before, choose hard drive with big space. Then, return to the main page, and click the “New” icon on the top left.

You will find a pop-up window with the instruction you need to follow. The first window is where you name the virtual machine. Once it is done, click “Next” to the next window, where you allocate the RAM for that virtual machine. Click “Next”, and you can adjust the amount of hard drive space you use for that virtual machine. To finish the process, click the “Create” button. Now, you have the virtual space you can use for installing different OS or software.

Installing the Software

After your virtual machine is running, you can start to install the software or OS that you like. The first thing you need to do is acquiring the installer file. You can use an installer file, ISO file or physical CD/DVD. Open VirtualBox and on the main page, choose the virtual machine that you just created. Now, you can choose the source where you want to install the OS. Just follow it like when you install OS normally. After it is finished, you can double click the virtual machine name from the main page to start up the OS you install there. Now, you have an extra OS on your computer.

VirtualBox gives you many benefits. It’s not only providing a space to install different OS. You also can use it to run your old application that is not compatible with the latest OS you use.
