When you heard the word, overclocking, what kind of impression that you have in your mind? Most of you maybe think about something technical that only those who are expert in computer technology and programming do, right? That’s true. However, you also don’t need to be an expert to overclock your computer and get a faster performance like those experts.

What is Overclocking?

Before we go to the simple method to overclock your computer, firstly, let’s understand what overclocking is. In simplest words, overclocking is an effort to make a computer perform a bit better than the maximum limit of its capability. The expert uses many methods to make it happen. However, in an overclocking competition, mostly, they measure the highest point of the performance that last an only short time.

How to Easily Overclock Your Computer?

You won’t try what the expert does. You are going to try the method to improve your computer performance slightly, so you can work with it comfortably. How can we do that?
  • Add more cooling fan – you can buy it and install it inside your CPU. More cooling fans may take more energy. But, it will cool down the temperature inside to make it run faster.
  • Open the case – other than cooling fans, you also can open your computer case when you use it. It will give it a better air circulation to lower its temperature.
  • Turning off the sound – when you click, open or close a program, and do other things in your computer, usually, it produces specific sound to tell you what is happening. You can turn this audio off and go mute, so your computer will focus on the program you are using. You can use this method when you just want to use your computer without enjoying the music.
  • Turning off the unnecessary software – there are several programs that your computer system open automatically and run it in the background. Some of them are not important. So, turn it off by using the task manager or special software for managing this software.
As you can see, it’s simple and easy, right? However, those methods come with a limitation, such as you can’t watch a movie on your computer when you turn off its sound. Or, you need to clean your computer from dust, when you open the case too often. But, for better performance, overclocking with those three methods is worth to try.
