Everyone would want a maximum laptop performance. But sometimes it cannot be realized because of various factors, such as improper maintenance of the device. But that does not mean you cannot optimize your laptop performance. You can do it by adding or or replacing several components, one of the easiest examples is RAM.
Make Sure You Can Install RAM on Your Laptop
Most laptops have an empty slot to install additional RAM. But on some laptops, RAM has been soldered to the device so it cannot be removed or replaced. Moreover, there are also some laptops that cannot be opened so that you are not able to change the content. So, before you decide to buy RAM, make sure your laptop can be installed with the component.
Choose Suitable RAM
Make sure the RAM you want to install matches your laptop. You can install RAM with a high-read speed but make sure your processor can read it. The appropriate RAM speed is the one that has the same speed as your laptop CPU. For example, a laptop with a CPU speed of 2.6 GHz will be more compatible if you use 2666 MHz RAM. n addition, if you want to add RAM, it should be noted that RAM installed is identical to the previous RAM so that its performance is not hampered.
Open the Cover of Your Laptop
You have to be really careful in this part. Because one tiny mistake can cause a serious damage. Open the cover slowly using a screwdriver. Covers can be varied on every laptop. So, make sure you know your device well. There are some laptops whose covers really can't be opened so that you cannot install RAM. But there are also several types of laptops that make it possible to open a little part of the cover to install RAM, Hard Disk, or SSD.
Install RAM On Your Laptop
On the inside of the laptop, there is a small pin to install RAM. Make sure the gold pin on the RAM is properly attached to the cross section and make sure the pin is locked properly until it sounds 'Click'.
Close the Cover of Your Laptop
Properly close again the cover of your laptop. Make sure the position is right. Make sure the port holes on the cover are not blocked. Use the same screw to close the laptop cover because incorrect installation can damage the laptop.
